Sales Representative – Bulk Sales
The Sales Representative analyzes the market, builds the strategy, drives client acquisition and manages the Company’s sales nationally and internationally. As a small leadership team start-up, flexibility and collaboration across business streams is critical. They leverage their knowledge and relationships, promoting the Company’s purification process and educating clients on the benefits of a standardized bulk product for their consistent formulations with all CBD applications. This role currently operates as an individual producer, and reports to the General Manager.
This individual must demonstrate proven sales experience with excellent people skills, business acumen and take initiative with exemplary work ethics. Directors with experience in hi-tech, medical device, extraction, purification, and pharma product or equipment sales excel in the chromatography sector.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, not limited to:
Build an initial commercial strategy. Operations and finance will work with sales to validate and continuously adjust and refine the plan based on monthly reporting.
You are our subject matter expert in the rapidly changing market and trends. Complete regular market research on developments, trends, pricing, problems, and needs; monthly and weekly developments.
Use your industry knowledge and contacts to target markets and clients positioned to lean into the CBD product space. Identify and build a pipeline of potential new customers; initiate and manage prospects through the sales pipeline process and close sales.
Negotiate sales contracts and manage accounts
Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly/annual sales goals set forth by the General Manager and other managing corporate parties
Develop and implement sales strategies based on continuous analyzation of the market, coordinating all sales efforts and producing all collateral. Future sales team leader.
Work closely and competently with operations to forecast sales and manage inventory.
Document and track sales data and KPIs
Regular reporting and review of metrics with management
Utilize internal showroom and production areas for tours and presentations to current and potential customer.
Travel to industry conferences to build customer base and communicate brand value.
The ideal candidate will have:
Local residency in Oregon, Washington, Northern California although all residency is considered.
5 years of proven sales experience in hi-tech, medical, or CBD and Hemp Industry
Proven experience opening pipelines and driving sales objectives, meeting revenue goals
Connections and relationships with independent and key accounts in markets applicable to CBD bulk oil use
Basic knowledge of utilization of THC free CBD products, including the customer use cases and business ROI for the product
Basic technical understanding of procurement, operations, and distribution
Track record of closing minimum of five figure deals
Self-motivation, “can do” attitude, and delivers at a high performance level
Can take a high-level review of a deliverable and produce results
Strong negotiating skills
STEM degree or experience or Bachelor’s degree in related fields preferred
Valid Driver’s License
