PM Packaging Shift Assistant Manager

Compensation:

$15/hr for training period

$17/hr with performance-based reviews

401k Savings option after 1 year of employment

Hours:

3:00pm – midnight Monday-Friday; lunch break from 7:00pm-8pm (or when it fits best in the day). In the event that a shift lead is out sick, we expect you to be available to cover their shift prior to the Packaging Manager covering.

Position Requirements:

• Be 21 years or older

• Must have an OLCC marijuana workers permit

• Must have an Oregon Food Handler’s Card and ServSafe Certification

• Must always comply with OLCC and company regulations- stay current and have a comprehensive understanding of rules – advanced metrc training and understanding

• Must be able to lift 25lbs or more

• STRONG Attention to detail

• Standing for long periods of time and/or sitting

• Extreme proficiency with counting

• Must be able to work in a team environment

• Knowledgeable with weights and measurements

• Manufacturing experience

• At least 1 year of Management experience

• At least 6 months Metrc experience

• Advanced communication skills

• Knowledgeable in the following:

• Microsoft Office

• Adobe Acrobat

• Basecamp

• Google Sheets/Docs

 

Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

Basic packager duties

– Weighing out cannabinoid products with extreme accuracy, consistency

– Extracts, edibles, concentrates, vapor cartridges, flower, pre-rolled joints, etc.

– Packaging cannabinoid products

– Labeling cannabinoid products – understanding of rules and regulations

– Quality Control; verifying units and double-checking quality of the product as it is packaged

– Packaging product to be sold on the wholesale market

– Being able to confidently handle food products/storage

– Clean-up (dishes, sweeping, mopping, prepping kitchen/packaging department for the following day)

Assistant Manager duties

– METRC mastering and responsibility (course will be provided)

– Reporting of numbers daily into a spreadsheet

– Developing Production schedule with other Department Heads

– Managing packaging shift leads, staff breaks, sick-time, and lunches

– Maintaining security and disbursement of cannabis products to packaging staff

– Maintaining 100% compliance of the packaging department

– Strong leadership, setting a good example

– Quality control specialist; double-checking boxes are accurately labeled, final quality control before being placed in the vault

– Training lead: manage lead trainers, monitoring implementation of standardized training program

– Responsible for accuracy in weights and measurement of packaging staff

– Responsible for current USDA Food and Safety standards, all kitchen safety and health code compliance, answer to USDA and ODA food safety inspectors. Ensuring 100% compliance.

– Creating, developing, and maintaining SOPs for the department.

– Maintain a line of communication between all Departments: Manager of Operations, Packaging Manager, Growers, Extractors, Administrative Assistant, and Executive Director

– Coordinate packaging priorities with label specialist

– Testing responsibilities

– Preparing product on invoice for sampling by lab employee

– Metrc entry to submit product for testing and manifest to lab employee

– Confirm post-tested product weights and correct any discrepancies

– Inventory Management

– Weekly PARS

– Daily intake and organization of received supplies

– Proper Dymo labeling of supplies for easy access to packagers
